The test signal displayed is determined by the Test Pattern Select
parameter (see
Table 3-5 on page 34 ).
Enabling On-Screen Display
You can use the On-Screen Display (OSD) Monitoring feature to view
the current parameter selections on one output display. This feature
makes configuring the DQS6800
+
using the card-edge controls much
easier.
To enable On-Screen Display (OSD) Monitoring, set the OSD Channel
parameter to one of Output 1, Output 2, Output 3, or Output 4. By
default,
OSD Channel is set to NULL (off). When the OSD Channel
parameter is set to one of its Output options, the current parameter
selections are displayed on the selected output.
The OSD Channel parameter appears in Table 3-5 on page 34 .
Choosing Decoder Options
The DQS6800
+
module has the following options for the decoder:
• Notch filter
• 2D adaptive
• 3D adaptive comb filter
These options can be selected using the Y/C Separate Filter parameter
for each input channel. See Table 3-6 on page 37 for more information.
Selecting a Reference Source
You can set the Reference Source parameter to Freerun , Genlock , or
any of the available input options ( A and B with a two-channel module,
C and D with the four-channel option). All four output channels will
use the input reference standard.
In Freerun mode, the DQS6800
+
accepts analog inputs that are both
synchronized and non-synchronized. Using the module’s freerun
VCXO, all four SD-SDI output signals are phased-locked together to
the oscillator. When the signals are output, you can phase-adjust each of
them separately, using the
Vertical Phase and Horizontal Phase so
