Editing Fields
A field must be selected before it can
be edited. A selected field is displayed
in red and has a black box around it.
You can select a field by touching the
Next Field
button, by pressing the
Tab
key, or by touching the field
directly. When using the
Next Field
button or
Tab
key, the fields are
selected one after another in the order
in which they were added to the print
message.
When a field is selected, the back-
ground of its corresponding field type
button becomes dark gray. When a
text field is selected, a text box con-
taining the field's text is displayed at the bottom of the screen, the background color of the
Text Field Properties button turns dark gray, and the 'A' on the button turns blue. (See the
following examples.)
Release a selected field by pressing the
Enter
key, or by selecting another field.
Editing a Text Field:
1. Select the field; its color changes from dark blue to red.
2. To completely replace the existing text, simply begin typing. The new text replaces the
old.
3. To edit the existing text:
•Press and hold the
Alt
key, then press the
Left
or
Right Arrow
key. The field's
color changes from red to light blue and a cursor appears at the beginning (if
Left
Arrow
is pressed) or end (if
Right Arrow
is pressed) of the text.
•Use the
Left
and
Right Arrow
keys to move the cursor to the edit point.
•Press
Backspace
to delete characters to the left of the cursor.
•Add new text at the cursor point by typing.
•
Press
Enter
once; the field's color changes from light blue to red.
4. Press
Enter
to release the field; its color changes from red to dark blue.
