7. Simple Trouble Shooting
If you have trouble or a malfunction with this LCD monitor, please consult with an
Authorized person for service.
However, the following suggestions may be useful in solving simple problems.
No Power:
• Please check the other power switch on a rear and also the power switch on a front
panel.
Picture is not displayed on screen:
• Please check that the AC power cord is properly connected.
• Please check that input signals are properly feed.
• Is the input selection made correctly?
• Are the input signals on the input signal reference list?
If not on the list, the monitor is not able to handle this type of input.
Something wrong with the picture on screen:
• Are input signals properly fed to the proper input connector/s.
• Are Video cables connected properly ?
• Are those input signals on the input signal reference list ?
If not on the list, the monitor is not able to handle this type of input.
• Is the input signal cable properly connected with on the input side ?
Please check that it is not connected to the output side.
Picture is very dark :
• Is the input video signal level correct ?
• Is the brightness control level correct ? Not in the minimum position ?
• Is the contrast control correct ? Not in the minimum position ?
• How is the back light level ? You can check this on the User Setup screen.
• If you are on the RGB or the Component input, please check R Gain and B Gain.
Are they correct ? Not too low ? You can check it with the colour setup screen.
Highlight area is too bright (over-exposed):
• Please check input connector, is the output connector being used for input ?
• Is the contrast level set to Max ? It may exaggerate bright areas, if input level is
high.
• Is main power OFF when you feed S-Video input with bridge connection for Mul-
tiple monitors ?
The video termination of S-Video input defaults to OFF when main power is OFF.
In this case, please turn power ON for connected monitors.
