The Relays Tab
The Relay FIND Function
This function is similar to the sensor FIND function and is used to detect addressable relays
installed onto the data highways. The opening screen allows you to limit which highways (cable
numbers) you wish to search over and limit the range of addresses. Selecting FIND initiates the
search for the selections you have made.
You have to FIND relays for the relay diagnostic
functions to work correctly
Cable zero is internal to the
hub card. 7 ‘relays’ should
always be reported found as:
Relays 1 to 4 on the hub card
Relay 5

Relay 6
‘Audible’ SSR Output
Relay 7
Hub Card Sounder

Total number of
relays found
Select Save to
install the relays or
Exit to exit and
make no changes
Select FIND to
start searching
for detectors.
Select the range of addresses to
search over for each cable run. By
default address 101 to 131.
The display will show how
many detectors were found, on
which cable highways
At this stage this may just be
useful diagnostic information in
which case select EXIT to exit
the sensor FIND or....
Select NEXT to continue and
automatically install sensors
onto the system
Select EXIT to
return to the main
menu selection
