PERATING FAULTS
1) Paper Out Condition
The media sensor detects the absence of media under the printhead
and causes the Reception and Err. indicators to flash alternately.
Reload the printer with new media (see Page 22).
2) Paper Jam
In the event of a paper jam, both the Reception and Err. indicators light
up and stay so.
Remove the jammed document by hand as follows (see the Figure
opposite):
a) Open the right side door and unlock the printhead (1) (refer to
Page 22).
b) Locate the document (2) causing the jam (see the Figure opposite).
c) Grasp document (2), separate it from the stock and remove it from
the printer.
d) If using self-adhesive labels, check that the printing module has not
been soiled by adhesive from the jammed label. If necessary, carry
out printer maintenance as described on Page 32.
e) Reload media stock (see Page 22).
f) Close the right side door.
