CD/DVD

The CD/DVD option specifies that an IDE CD-ROM drive is

attached to the specified IDE channel. The BIOS does not

attempt to search for other types of IDE disk drives on the

specified channel.

ARMD

This option specifies an ATAPI Removable Media Device.

These include, but are not limited to:

ZIP

LS-120

LBA/Large Mode [Auto]

Use the

LBA/Large Mode

option to disable or enable BIOS to auto detects LBA (Logical

Block Addressing). LBA is a method of addressing data on a disk drive. In LBA mode, the

maximum drive capacity is 137 GB.

Disabled

BIOS is prevented from using the LBA mode control on

the specified channel.

Auto D

EFAULT

BIOS auto detects the LBA mode control on the specified

channel.

Block (Multi Sector Transfer) [Auto]

Use the

Block (Multi Sector Transfer)

to disable or enable BIOS to auto detect if the

device supports multi-sector transfers.

Disabled

BIOS is prevented from using Multi-Sector Transfer on the

specified channel. The data to and from the device occurs

one sector at a time.

Auto D

EFAULT

BIOS auto detects Multi-Sector Transfer support on the

drive on the specified channel. If supported the data

transfer to and from the device occurs multiple sectors at

a time.
