If this option is selected, “Configure SATA as” and

“Configure SATA channels” options are presented for

configuration.

Legacy IDE Channels [PATA Pri, SATA Sec]

SATA Only

Enables up to two SATA devices.

SATA Pri, PATA Sec

EFAULT

This allows the system to access the SATA

devices before the primary IDE devices.

PATA Only

Enable the two primary IDE devices. Select

this option only when the two primary IDE

devices are available.

IDE Master and IDE Slave

When entering setup, BIOS auto detects the presence of IDE devices. BIOS displays the

status of the auto detected IDE devices. The following IDE devices are detected and are

shown in the

IDE Configuration

menu:

The

IDE Configuration

menu (

BIOS Menu 4

) allows changes to the configurations for the

IDE devices installed in the system. If an IDE device is detected, and one of the above

listed four BIOS configuration options are selected, the IDE configuration options shown in

Section 6.3.2.1

appear.

Secondary SATA Controller Mode

This sets the mode to be used by the JMB363 SATA controller that controls the two SATA

II channels.
