5.6.2 IDE Cable Connection

The IDE flat cable connects the WSB-9152 to one or two IDE devices. To connect an IDE

HDD to the WSB-9152 please follow the instructions below.

Step 1:

Locate the IDE connector

. The location/s of the IDE device connector/s is/are

shown in

Chapter 3

Step 2:

Insert the connector

. Connect the IDE cable connector to the onboard

connector. See Figure 5-12. A key on the front of the cable connector ensures it

can only be inserted in one direction.

Step 3:

Connect the cable to an IDE device

. Connect the two connectors on the other

side of the cable to one or two IDE devices. Make sure that pin 1 on the cable

corresponds to pin 1 on the connector
