4.7 HDD Installation

The AFL-317A series has a hard disk drive bay for a 3.5” or 2.5” SATA HDD. To install a

HDD, follow the steps below.

4.7.1 3.5” HDD Installation

NOTE:

Please make sure the purchased 3.5” HDD is the low-profile version

with 0.75-inch height to be able to install in the AFL-317A.

Step 1:

Remove the rear panel

Section 4.5

Step 2:

Remove the optical drive bracket

by removing the two retention screws

shown in

Figure 4-4

Step 3:

Remove the HDD bracket.

The HDD bracket is attached to the AFL-317A

internal chassis with four retention screws. Remove the four retention screws
