6. Commissioning
6.1. Commissioning information
Before commissioning the TERRA heat pump, the
heating side and the brine circuit or groundwater side
must be checked for tightness, rinsed thoroughly,
filled and bled carefully.
During transport it can happen that threaded con-
nections can be loosen inside the heat pump by
vibrations. To avoid damages on the machine and
the installation area, it is absolutely necessary that
all pipe connections inside the machine are tighten.
Please check this during commissioning.
Commissioning requirements :
-
The heating and any storage tank must be filled
and bled.
- With brine circuit heat pumps, the brine circuit must
be filled with antifreeze (-15°C), rinsed and bled.
- The expansion vessel on the brine side must be
filled.
- The electrical installation must be complete and
fuse-protected in line with legal requirements.
-
The heat pump may only be switched on if it is filled
on the cold side and on the heating side, and if the
electrical connections have been checked.
-
During commissioning, the flow temperatures must
also be set. The shut-off point 55°C (with refrigerant
R407C) or 65°C (with refrigerant R134A) should be
checked and the set shut-off temperature changed
where necessary.
-
The heat pump is fitted with a start-up delay.
- If the heat pump is to be drained on the heating
side, the connection hose on the heat pump return
must be disconnected.
- With groundwater pumps, the groundwater outlet
alarm must be set during commissioning so that the
shut-off is carried out with a water return tempera-
ture of 3°C.
6.1.1. Actuation of the heat source pump
After activating the main switch on the heat pump, the
commissioning assistant is started after the language
selection. In the start menu for the commissioning as-
sistant, the heat source pump can be actuated manu-
ally for rinsing and bleeding the brine or groundwater
circuit via the Navigator control.
6.2. Operation
The TERRA heat pump is switched on and off auto-
matically via the fully-automated Navigator control.
For operating and commissioning, see the separate
operating and commissioning instructions.
Annual inspection and maintenance of the system by
customer services is recommended, in particular with
regard to preserving warranty claims.
6.3. Faults
The TERRA heat pump is fitted with various safety
devices so that no damage can be caused to the
equipment in the event of faults.
If the heat pump does not run, please check the fault
message which will be displayed on the Navigator
control display.
For more information, please see the Navigator con-
trol operating instructions.
If an error occurs several times in succes-
sion, please contact your relevant IDM
customer service department.
