6.5. Installation variant for the outdoor unit
In this variant, the outdoor unit of the iPump A is
mounted on two bases. The refrigerant lines and the
condenser run-o
ff
are routed between the two bases
and must be connected to the outdoor unit. The load
capacity of the base must be given.
6.6. Place of installation
If the place of installation is not protected from snow-
fall, it must be selected or designed such that the
lower edge of the outdoor unit is 20 cm above the
expected snow level in any case.
The outdoor unit must always be installed on a solid
surface in horizontal position. This can be achieved
with an extra concrete base or a wall bracket.
The loading capacity of the wall bracket must be
given. The unit must be
fi
xed with four screws M10.
Air heat pumps are producing condensation water
during operation. This could be 6 liters per defrost
cycle within 2 minutes. The condensate run-o
ff
must
be frost-proof.
The outdoor unit already includes a heated conden-
sate run-o
ff
tray to avoid freeze. The condensate run-
o
ff
also has to be heated, with the already mounted
heating cable.
On the exhaust side of the outdoor unit exists an in-
creased risk of frost. Rain pipes, water-carring pipes
or water-carring containers must not be located next
to the exhaust side.

In coastal installation, a minimum distance
of 5 km from the coast must be observed.
If this safety distance is not observed, the-
re could occur increased corrosion. These
cases are excluded from the guarantee.
To avoid damages caused by animals,
such as rodents or insects, all cable- and
pipe openings have to be closed.
