6. Assembly and hydraulic installation

6.1. Assembly of the indoor unit

iPump A heat pumps must be installed in a frost-
protected room by an approved specialist. The room 
temperature must be between 5°C and 25°C.
If the minimum size of the installation room falls below
the required value, the room must be designed as an 
machine room according to EN 378.
It is not permissible to install the equipment in humid 
or dusty rooms, where there is a risk of explosion.

For maintenance work a gap of 600 mm must be 
observed at the front and depending of the connection 
of the refrigerant  pipes, on the right or left side of the 
heat pump (see the opposite diagram).

The connection for the circulation line is located on 
the front side of the storage tank, behind the electrical 
tub. This must be folded downwards for installation. 
The connections for the refrigerant lines are either on 
the right or on left side.
The connections for heating

on the top, also the connections for cold- and hot wa-
ter and the circulation. The connections are described 
on page 9.
The relevant laws, regulations and standards must be
observed, in particular EN 378 parts 1 and 2 as well 
as BGR 500.
