[Formats of video input signals]
Resolution
Description
1080i 59.94 Hz
SDTV/HDTV signals are input. Format type and vertical synchronous frequency are
displayed.
800 x 600 60.00 Hz
RGB signals are input. Value of [Horizontal resolution x Vertical resolution] and
vertical synchronous frequency are displayed.
NTSC
Analog composite video signals or analog S-Video signals are input, and the format
type is displayed.
56.83 kHz 60.02 Hz
Signals that cannot be recognized are input. Horizontal and vertical synchronous
frequencies are displayed. These signals can be recognized by adjusting input
timings in
“ and registering the data in section “
”.
NO SIGNAL
No signal is input.

Only if HDMI signals are input, the color depth is displayed at the upper right:
24: HDMI signals of 24-BIT COLOR are input.
30: HDMI signals of 30-BIT COLOR are input.

If sampling clock exceeds 165 MHz is
input, an “E” is displayed at the left of input signal type alphabet in the
lower row, and video is not output.

Audio signal type
Description
LINEAR PCM 48 kHz:
Linear PCM signals are input. Sampling frequency is displayed on the right.
COMPRESSED AUDIO:
Compressed audio signals (such as Dolby Digital and DTS) are input. All
compressed audio signals are displayed in the same way, because The MSD
does not recognize detailed formats.
NO SIGNAL:
No audio signal is input

If multi-
channel audio signals are input, an “M” is displayed on the upper right.
