4.7 Peripheral Setup
This setup is working mostly on Multi-I/O Chip. The options are
used to change the Chipset‘s registers. Please carefully change
any default setting to meet your application need perfectly. The
only special concern is Onboard Serial Port 2. If you want to use
the IrDA port, you have to configure the SIR or ASKIR model in
the BIOS’s Peripheral Setup’s COM2; the RS-232 COM2 will be
disabled.
Onboard FDC >
to enable the Floppy Drive Controller on your
board. If you set it Auto, the BIOS will decide if the FDC should be
enabled, automatically).
Onboard Serial Port 1 (/2) >
to specify the I/O port address of
the serial port 1(/2). If you set it Auto, the BIOS will decide the
correct I/O port address, automatically.
Serial Port 2 Mode >
to specify the mode of serial port 2.
IR Half-Duplex Time-Out >
to specify the time out of IR device
that is connected to the IR port.
Onboard Parallel Port >
to specify the I/O port address of the
parallel port.
