The System Error Log
is 75% full.
Suggested actions:
1. Clear the log
2. PFA alert
a. Clear PFA alert
b. Remove ac power for at least 20 seconds
c. Reconnect
d. Switch on the system
3. Run Information Panel diagnostics
CPU LED is on
The LED next to the
failing CPU should be
on.
Suspected parts:
1. Processor 1 or 2
2. Processor/PCI Board
VRM LED is on
The LED next to the
failing VRM should be
on.
Suspected parts:
1. Voltage regulator module indicated by the VRM LED on the
processor board that is switched on
2. Processor/PCI Board
3. Processor indicated by the Processor LED
DASD1 LED is on
The LED located next
to the drive bay that
the failing drive is
installed in should be
on.
Suspected parts:
1. SCSI Backplane
2. Failing drive: SCSI channel A has failed (This is the SCSI
channel for the hot-swap hard disk drives)
Suggested actions:
1. Check amber drive LED for failing hard drive
2. Ensure that the fans are operating correctly and the air flow
is good
DASD2 LED is on
The LED located next
to the drive bay that
the failing drive is
installed in is on.
Suspected parts:
1. SCSI Backplane
2. Failing drive: SCSI channel B has failed
Suggested actions:
1. Check amber drive LED for failing hard drive
2. Ensure the fans are operating correctly and the air flow is
good
FAN LED is on
Suspected parts:
1. Fan Cable
2. Processor/PCI Board
3. System Board
4. Power Backplane Board
Suggested actions:
1. Check individual fan LEDs
2. Replace respective fan
MEM LED is on
The LED next to the
failing DIMM is on.
Suspected parts:
1. Failing DIMM in slot J1 - J4
2. Processor/PCI Board
