3. Remove the protective cap from the SFP module, as shown in Figure 21 and
Figure 22. Save the cap for future use.
4. Hold the SFP correctly oriented towards the port as shown in Figure 23 on page
51 and Figure 24 on page 52. For wire bale type SFPs, make sure the bale is
open, in the unlocked position, as shown in

of Figure 23 on page 51). Slide
the SFP into the port until you feel it click into place.
