Chassis #1-5 - Install the 2U expansion servers leaving 1U open below and
above to keep cable management arms from binding and to allow air to flow past
the chassis power and I/O cables.
•
25G Switch - The 25G switches should be installed above the top-most server.
You may install the 25G switch in any convenient location.
(see Figure 2 for
recommended switch location, U25 & U26)

1G Switch - The 1G switch should typically be installed above the 25G switch.
(see Figure 2 for recommended switch location, U28)

PDUs
– Install horizontally at U33-U38 for easy cable routing and service access.
Note alternating PDU orientation to denote left and right power.

Spine switches should be installed in rack 3 at U30 and U31 per figure 2.
•
The hub switch is a 1G Cloud Pak for Data System management switch that is
used in conjunction with the spine switches at U32.
