13. Crimping diameter plus (+). increases crimping opening diameter in 1mm/0.01
inch increments. Holding down the button increases the increment with 10mm/0.1
inch.
14. Crimping diameter minus (-). Decreases crimping opening diameter in 1
mm/0.01 inch increments. Holding down the button decreases the increment with
10 mm/0.1 inch.
15. Simple calibration. Holding down the shift and minus (-) button simultan -
eously activates the settings for simple calibration (see section Calibration).
16. Die set selection plus (+). The machine is pre-programmed for the standard die
sets available for the machine. However, there are also a few special dies that are
not among the standard assortment. pushing the plus (+) button toggles the av
-
ailable tools in increasing increments. When a tool is selected, the crimping dia -
meter in Window 1 switches to the smallest measurement in the interval for the
selected die set (see die set chart).
17. Die set selection minus (-). Toggles in decreasing size increments among the
available die sets.
18. Reset. press shift and minus (-) simultaneously to reset the counter. nOTE!
The counter counts total number of compressions, not number of applications.
19. Return button. Retracts the dies to the pre-set crimping opening diameter.
pushing the button again retracts past the pre-set opening diameter. Use only
when calibrating or changing tools.
20. Crimping button. Used only when calibrating or changing dies. The counter is
deactivated when this function is activated.
21. Crimping button (half-automatic). Always use this button or foot pedal /back
stop when crimping. Hold down the button until the set crimping measurement is
reached. The dies will automatically retract to their set crimping opening diame
-
ter. Release the button to stop in the middle of a crimping process. press the re -
turn button to open to begin crimping again.
22. Lamp indicator. Lights automatically when the set opening diameter is
reached.
23. Lamp indicator. Lights up when the set swaging measurement is reached.
24. Lamp indicator. The green lamp indicates that the simple calibration function
is activated, the red lamp indicates that simple calibration is activated and shall
be performed.
