General Information
The light assembly is designed to operate when the pool filtration is active. If
the flow stops for any reason, the light will not function.
FlowBright will operate with flowrates from 6m
3
per hour to 10m
3
per hour.
Anything below this range and the system will not operate. Anything above
this range and the turbine in the housing will be rotating too fast, which may
cause damage. Water flows above 7m
3
per hour can be diverted away from the
turbine, using the gate arrangements – as described above. For optimal
performance and light output, please review the flowchart in this manual.
If the light assembly is fitted to a pool situated in a climate where freezing
conditions in the pool basin are common, we recommended that the light
assembly be removed, dried, and stored during the winter period if the pool is
out of use.
FlowBright is designed to screw into a standard 1.5-inch BSP female inlet
fitting. Other adaptors will be available shortly.
This version of FlowBright is recommended for residential applications and is
not necessarily suitable for commercial situations. Some small commercial
pools may be appropriate. However, this decision should be made by the pool
specialists. We are developing a commercial FlowBright.
In a low, or periodic no flow situation the FlowBright Plus is recommended.
The FlowBright Plus has an internal rechargeable battery. This will allow the
light to function at lower flows; it uses the stored battery power to illuminate
the LED array when the flow is insufficient to power the array directly.
