In accordance with chapter 5.7 of EN 60079-11:2012, the device is classified as “simple electrical equipment”.
The designation is Ex ia IIC T6 and Ex ia IIIC T80°C for devices designed for an
ambient and liquid temperature range of -20°C to +60°C.
The designation is Ex ia IIC T6...T4 and Ex ia IIIC T80°C...125°C for devices designed for an ambient and liquid temperature range of -
20°C to +125°C.

In accordance with Art. 1, para. 3 a) of explosion protection directive 94/9/EC and in accordance with Art. 2, para. 1 of explosion
protection directive 2014/34/EU – which is applicable from 20 April 2016 – the devices do not feature their “own potential source of
ignition”. In accordance with the European Commission’s decision of 6 and 7 February 2003 (reference: ENTR/G/3/DE D(2003)), this
simple electrical equipment does not fall under the explosion protection directives specified.
The conformity assessment procedure therefore does not apply. Instead of the declaration of conformity, this manufacturer’s declaration
takes effect.
Reed Electronics AG is certified in accordance with ISO 9001:2008.
TÜV SÜD Product Service GmbH has confirmed compliance with the specified regulations for the devices – including the labelling and
the instructions for use for these devices – with test report no. 713073920.
