CLEANING HONEYCOMB ASSEMBLIES
Upper Honeycomb
Honeycombs should be cleaned at least every six
months. Dirty honeycombs will cause cases to
perform poorly. The honeycombs may be cleaned
with a vacuum cleaner. Soap and water may be
used if all water is removed from the honeycomb
cells before replacing. Be careful not to damage
the honeycombs.
1. Remove interior roof panel to free honey-
comb.
2. Clean and dry the honeycomb.
3. After cleaning, replace honeycomb and
interior roof panel.
Lower Honeycomb
Starting at one lower end of the honeycomb, use
a needle-nose plier to carefully compress and lift
a corner. Work along the edge a few cells at a
time until the honeycomb is free of the retainer.
Clean and dry the honeycomb, then replace in
reverse order.
Note that a damaged honeycomb must be
replaced to maintain refrigeration efficiency.
