Check the piston rings for damage and wear.

If damage or a bronze-colored surface is visible:

Change the piston.

Condition

The shock absorber has been removed.

Clamp the shock absorber into the vise with soft jaws.

Remove the collar bushing of the heim joint.

- Turn the shock absorber and remove the second collar bush

ing of the heim joint.

Press the heim joint against a lock ring using the special tool.
