16 BRAKE SYSTEM

Remove screws

with washers

Press back the brake linings with a light lateral tilting of the

brake caliper on the brake disc. Pull the brake caliper care
fully back from the brake disc and hang it to one side.

•

Info

Do not operate the hand brake lever when the brake

caliper is removed.

Move the brake fluid reservoir mounted on the handlebar to a

horizontal position.

Remove screws

Remove cover

with membrane

Press the brake piston back into the basic position and

ensure that brake fluid does not flow out of the brake fluid

reservoir; if necessary, draw some off.
Press together brake linings (D and remove them from the

brake caliper.

Clean the brake caliper and leaf spring.

Ensure that the leaf spring is correctly positioned.

Info

The arrow on the leaf spring points in the rotation
direction of the brake disc.

Position the new brake linings (D in the guides and press

toward the pistons.

✓ The leaf spring is correctly seated in the brake caliper.
