Noise emission warranty
HUSQVARNA MOTORCYCLES S.R.L. warrants that this exhaust system, at the time of sale, meets all applicable U.S.
EPA Federal noise standards. This warranty extends to the first person who buys this exhaust system for purposes other
than resale, and to all subsequent buyers.
Tampering warning
Tampering with Noise Control System Prohibited.
Federal law prohibits the following acts or causing thereof:
(1) The removal or rendering inoperative by any person other than for purposes of maintenance, repair, or replace-
ment, of any device or element of design incorporated into any new vehicle for the purpose of noise control prior
to its sale or delivery to the ultimate purchaser or while it is in use, and
(2) the use of the vehicle after such device or element of design has been removed or rendered inoperative by any
person.
Among those acts presumed to constitute tampering are the acts listed below.
1) Removal of, or puncturing the muffler, baffles, header pipes or any other component which conducts exhaust ga-
ses.
2) Removal or puncturing of any part of the intake system.
3) Lack of proper maintenance.
4) Replacing any moving part of the vehicle, or parts of the exhaust or intake system, with parts other than those
specified by the manufacturer.
Warning statement
This product should be checked for repair or replacement if the motorcycle noise has increased significantly through use.
Otherwise, the owner may become subject to penalties under state and local ordinances.

SPARK ARRESTER
The WR model is equipped with a U.S. Forest Service approved spark arrester for maximum efficienty and performance.
“ SPARK ARRESTER” MAINTENANCE AND CLEANOUT INSTRUCTIONS
Proceed as follows:
A: Remove the screws (1) and the R.H. side panel (2).
B: Remove the two screws (3) fastening the muffler to the rear frame. Extract the silencer from the union manifold to the exhaust pipe.
Note*: If silencer or exhaust are difficult to remove, help to slide them apart by tapping gently with a rubber or plastic hammer.
A: Remove rear pin (A), saddle, screws (1) and R.H. side panel (2).
C: remove the four screws (4) and the endcap (5) from silencer’s body;
D: examinate SPARK ARRESTER conditions and remove, if necessary, carbon particles from the SPARK ARRESTER screen;
E: if necessary, inflate air on the SPARK ARRESTER screen, in the opposite direction in respect of the exhausted gas flow;
F: assemble the front endcap on the silencer’s body, mounting the screws in the correct position, providing a tight connection between endcap
and silencer’s body, using, if necessary, a silicone paste;
G: re-assemble the silencer on motorbike.
Due to the SPARK ARRESTER position on the silencer, if you need only to check the SPARK ARRESTER conditions you can:
A: disassemble the silencer from motorbike;
B: check SPARK ARRESTER conditions simply looking into the silencer from front endcap opening;
C: if the check is positive, you can proceed in re-assembling the silencer on the motorbike;
D: if the check is negative, proceed with the maintenance and cleanout procedure.

A: First turn counterclockwise fastening rear pin (A) then remove saddle, screws (1) and R.H. side panel (2).

PARE-ÉTINCELLES
Les modèles WR sont équipés d’un pare-étincelles approuvé par le U.S. Forest Service garantissant le maximum en termes d’efficacité et
de rendement.
INSTRUCTIONS D’ENTRETIEN ET NETTOYAGE DU “PARE-ÉTINCELLES”
Procéder comme suit :
A : Tourner dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre l’axe arrière de fixation (A), ensuite déposer la selle, les vis et le cache latéral de
droite.
B : Déposer les deux vis (3) de fixation du pot d’échappement au cadre arrière. Extraire le silencieux du collecteur des tuyaux
d’échappement.
Remarque* : Si le silencieux ou échappement sont difficiles à déposer, aider la séparation en tapant doucement avec un marteau
caoutchouc ou plastique.
C : démonter les quatre vis (4) et le bouchon terminal (5) du corps silencieux ;
D : vérifier les conditions du PARE-ÉTINCELLES et éliminer, si nécessaire, les particules de carbone du filtre du PARE-ÉTINCELLES ;
E : si besoin est, souffler de l’air sur le filtre du PARE-ÉTINCELLES, dans le sens opposé par rapport au flux des gaz d’échappement ;
F : monter le bouchon terminal sur le corps silencieux, installer les vis dans la position correcte, en fixant de façon bien serrée le bouchon
terminal et le corps silencieux, et en utilisant, si nécessaire, une pâte à joint au silicone ;
G : remonter le silencieux sur la moto.
A cause de la position du PARE-ÉTINCELLES sur le silencieux, si vous devez simplement vérifier les conditions du PARE-ÉTINCELLES, vous
pouvez :
A : démonter le silencieux de la moto ;
B : vérifier les conditions du PARE-ÉTINCELLES juste en regardant dans le silencieux depuis l’ouverture du bouchon terminal frontal ;
C : si le résultat est positif, vous pouvez remonter le silencieux sur la moto ;
D : si le résultat est négatif, effectuer la procédure de nettoyage et entretien.
