(Four-Wheel High Lock)
This setting provides extra trac-
tion for most off-road driving
conditions.
When shifting, the vehicle should
be traveling at less than 64 km/h.
• 4
(Four-Wheel Low Lock)
Use this setting when driving in
extreme off-road conditions such
as when driving on deep sand,
mud or snow or when climbing
or descending steep hills.
To shift into or out of the Four-
Wheel Low setting, the vehicle
must be stopped or moving less
than 5 km/h (preferably moving
between 1 and 3 km/h) and
the transmission must be in
N

The indicator lights on the control
knob show the selected transfer case
mode.
LOCKING REAR AXLE
The locking rear axle can give added
traction when driving in off-road
conditions such as when driving on
mud, snow, sand, steep hills and
uneven terrain.
The button is located on the center
of the instrument panel below the
center air outlets.
To lock the rear axle, do the follow-
ing:
1. Place the transfer case in the
Four-Wheel Low Lock mode.
2. With the vehicle stopped or
moving less than 3 km/h, press
the locking rear axle button.
The indicator light will start
flashing. When the indicator
light stays on solid, the rear axle
is locked.
The locking rear axle will automati-
