StabiliTrak
®
System
StabiliTrak is an advanced computer-
controlled vehicle stability and trac-
tion enhancement system that
assists with directional control of the
vehicle in difficult driving conditions.
The system comes on automatically
when you start the engine.
To limit wheelspin and help main-
tain directional control, you should
always leave the system on. Howev-
er, if your vehicle becomes stuck and
rocking the vehicle is required, the
system should be turned off.
To turn off the traction control part
of the system, press the StabiliTrak
button located at the center of the
instrument panel.
To turn off the traction control and
stability enhancement systems,
press and hold the button for five
seconds.
When the transfer case is in four-
wheel low lock mode, both systems
are automatically disabled.
When either system is off, the
Stabil-
itrak Indicator Light will illuminate.
Four-Wheel Drive,
Suspension and Towing
Controls
FOUR-WHEEL DRIVE MODES
The transfer case knob, located at
the center of the instrument panel,
allows you to shift into and out of
the following four-wheel drive
modes:
• 4 (Full-Time Four-Wheel
High)
This setting is for driving in most
street and highway situations.
You can also use this setting for
light or variable off-road driving
conditions.
When shifting, the vehicle should
be traveling at less than 64 km/h.
