Sump Flow Valve

2. Open the sump fl ow valve (red knob)

OPEN

CLOSE

With the Flow Restriction valve closed and Sump Flow valve open, the
water fl ow can be initiated by pressing the SUMP button on the touch
screen. With the Sump Flow valve fully open, water will fl ow at 0.2 m/s
Once water is fl owing over the sample and a water velocity is showing
on the display, the Sump Flow valve can slowly be closed to reduce the
water fl ow rate to the desired target rate.

NOTE: The ﬂ ow meter can reliably read down to approximately 0.1m/s
before its signal becomes unreliable and the accuracy of the displayed
ﬂ ow rate shown on the touch screen becomes less accurate.
