BIM installation position

The battery appearance is for reference only.

Procedure

Step 1

Install a BIM.

The following describes how to install a BIM at the side panel of a battery. It also provides a
reference for how to install a BIM at the top of a battery.



The red terminal is positive, and the black terminal is negative. Connect battery terminals
correctly.



Voltages on the BIM cable are hazardous. Therefore, wear insulation gloves when
performing operations on the cable.



Check that there is no dust on the battery surface before attaching the BIM fastener to the
battery.



The BIM fastener is closely attached to the battery.

Connect the positive and negative BIM cables respectively to the positive and negative
wiring terminals or poles of the battery.

Use an insulated torque wrench during battery installation. The terminal torque depends on
battery specifications.
