Obtain the driver installation package. For details, see

Intelligent Computing

Compatibility Checker

.

For example, the Windows V304 driver package is

FusionServer iDriver-Windows-

Driver-V304.zip

.

l

Install or update the driver. For details, see

Huawei Server OS Installation Guide

.

Make sure to back up the original drivers before installing or upgrading drivers.

The driver installation package and procedure vary depending on the operating system.

8.2 MM910

HMM Web is a visualized easy-to-use WebUI of the MM910, serves as software for remotely
monitoring and managing the E9000 server, and provides various management interfaces.

The main functions are as follows:

l

Stateless computing
Stateless computing extracts compute node hardware configurations to form a
configuration policy file (profile) so that hardware configurations are separated from
hardware. The profile enables offline configuration, migration, remote batch
deployment, and import and export of hardware data.

l

Management functions

Monitors the components in the chassis.

Receives alarms generated from each component and reports them to the upper-
layer network management system (NMS).

Starts, resets, and performs power control of the compute nodes in the chassis.

Records and queries logs.

Manages users, including MM910 administrators and compute node iBMC users.

l

KVM over IP
The KVM over IP function allows users to remotely monitor and control devices using a
local keyboard, video, and mouse (KVM) on the client.

l

Virtual media
Virtual media is used with the KVM over IP function of the MM910. After logging in to
a compute node using KVM over IP, you can use the virtual media function to mount the
local DVD-ROM or floppy disk drive to the remote compute node or mount a local .iso
or .img file to the virtual DVD-ROM or floppy disk drive of the remote compute node.

l

Local KVM
The local KVM function of the MM910 allows you to log in to the MM910 CLI, log in
to the compute node OS, mount the DVD-ROM drive of the active MM910 to the
compute node, or connect to a compute node or switch module through SOL (Serial
Over LAN).

l

SOL
The Serial over LAN (SOL) is a channel for transmitting serial data between a remote
client and the serial ports on a compute node, storage node, or switch module through the
