6.3. Changing the nosepiece

Remove the nosepiece by loosening it with an SW12 open-

end wrench. Hold the sleeve with an SW14 open-end

wrench to keep it from rotating.

Install a nosepiece in the reverse sequence.

The guide tube in the blind riveter has a diameter of 5mm. Lockbolts or

aeronautic fasteners may need a bigger diameter. Here you need a special

tool; please contact representative HS-Technik GmbH.

There are various kinds of nosepieces for the different rivet types. Please note that rivets

may only be set using a compatible nosepiece. Consult the following table to fi nd out

which nosepiece fi ts your rivet.

The values provided in the table apply to standard blind rivets and nosepieces made

by HS-Technik GmbH. For special rivets, please contact your HS-Technik representative.
