DLT80 Tape Drive Reference Guide

Note:  

If the 

Density Select

 button is not released then momentarily pressed again, the 

BHC test will not run and the density LEDs return to their original state.

3. If the test passes, the top four density LEDs illuminate steadily for five 

seconds, then return to their original state.

4. If the test fails, the top four density LEDs flash on and off for five seconds, 

then return to their original state.

If the BHC test fails, hardware failure is likely. Contact the HP Technical Support 
Center for help. See the "About This Guide" section for information on contacting 
the support center.

Upgrading Firmware

The HP Library and Tape Tool (L&TT) is a tape management and diagnostic tool 
to help you install and support your HP storage product. In addition to the 
diagnostic and troubleshooting ability of  L&TT, it offers useful information about 
your products and provides automated firmware update checks from the Internet, 
with the ability to retrieve the latest firmware versions.
