Installing an Internal DLT80 

Tape Drive

This chapter describes the procedure to install an HP StorageWorks DLT80 tape 
drive into an HP ProLiant server.

Note:  

If installing a DLT80 tape drive on an HP AlphaServer, see Chapter 3.

Installing the drive involves the following steps:

1. Setting the SCSI ID on the DLT80 drive

2. Shutting down the server and all peripheral devices

3. Installing the DLT80 drive

4. Reassembling the server

5. Powering on the peripherals

6. Powering on the server

7. Completing the installation
