DLT80 Tape Drive Reference Guide

Installing the DLT80 Tape Drive

Note:

Your server may differ from the following illustrations; refer to the documentation

included with your server.

To install a DLT80 tape drive with drive rails:

1. Adhere the front labels as described in “Preparing the Tape Drive.”

2. Install the tape drive into two adjacent available media bays.

Figure 7: Installing a DLT80 drive with drive rails

3. Insert two screws in the front plate using a Torx T-15 screwdriver.

4. Connect an available power cable and the wide SCSI signal cable.
