Overview

DLT80 Tape Drive Reference Guide

Software Included

The DLT80 tape drive ships with a CD that contains drivers that support the
following operating systems:

■

Microsoft Windows NT

■

Microsoft Windows 2000

■

Novell NetWare

The following operating systems are also supported using their native drivers:

■

HP Tru64 UNIX

■

Open VMS

Multiple software utilities are also available to customers through the HP website
and can be downloaded free of charge.

System Requirements

HP recommends equipping the server with a Fast Wide SCSI-2 Controller or
higher. See

Table 2

for the recommended controller interfaces that can be used

with the DLT80 drive. Install and configure the controller before beginning the
drive installation, using the documentation included with the controller.

shows which controllers support the DLT80 drive and which ones are

recommended.
