Embedded Serial Port Connector

NOTE:

This option is available only on some Gen8 servers.

This Embedded Serial Port Connector option controls how the system uses the embedded front
serial port.

Options include:

•

Automatically Switch to SUV Cable

(default)—Functions via the front serial port when the SUV

cable is not attached, but automatically switches to the SUV cable if it is attached.

•

Front Serial Port

—Disables auto-switching and always have the embedded serial port function

via the front serial port.
