Remove the DVD-ROM drive
1.
Power down the server (on page

Do one of the following:

Open or remove the tower bezel, as needed ("

Remove the access panel (on page

).
4.
Remove fan 5 (on page

).

If installed, remove the BBWC battery pack or the FBWC capacitor pack (on page

Remove the air baffle (on page

).
7.
Remove the fan cage (on page

).
8.
Disconnect and remove the DVD-ROM drive data/power cable. For more information, see "DVD-ROM
drive cabling (on page
110
)."
9.
Remove the DVD-ROM drive.
Remove the hard drive cage blank
