The basic steps necessary to use the SmartStart Scripting Toolkit are:
1.
Generate the server profile from a previously configured server.
2.
Create a script (batch) file that reads in server configuration files to configure the
server hardware and install the server operating system
3.
Build the server configuration diskette that initiates the automated deployment
process.

Insight Manager 7
Insight Manager 7 is the HP application for easily managing network devices. Insight
Manager 7 delivers intelligent monitoring and alerting as well as visual control of the
HP devices. Documentation for Insight Manager 7 is available on the ProLiant
Essentials Rapid Deployment Pack CD in the OVERVIEW.HLP file.
IMPORTANT: You must install and use Insight Manager 7 to benefit from the HP pre-failure
warranties on processors, hard drives, and memory modules.
Insight Manager 7 features include:

Comprehensive Fault Management—Insight Manager 7 provides comprehensive
fault management for all major subsystems, including pre-failure alerting for
disks, memory, and processors.

Integration Management—Insight Manager 7 and ProLiant Essentials RDP
software enable you to effectively deploy and manage configurations throughout
the enterprise using Integration Server and Insight Version Control.

Performance Management—Insight Manager 7 enables you to set performance
and capacity thresholds for management variables related to CPU and bus usage,
NIC throughput, logical disk capacity, and more.
•
Workstation Management—Insight Manager 7 enables you to monitor and
manage HP Professional Workstations.
