Rack height is measured in RUs. One RU is 44.45 mm (1.75 in).
To meet the clearance requirement, HP recommends that you use a rack with a depth of 1.2 m (3.94 ft).
You must reserve at least 155 mm (6.10 in) of clearance between the front rack post and the front door.
The total depth of the switch is 1080 mm (42.52 in) by calculating together the depth of chassis, the cable
management bracket, and the power cable bracket, which are 830 mm (32.68 in), 150 mm (5.91 in),
and 100 mm (3.94 in), respectively.
The weight listed in
Table 11 are for switch chassis, including mounting brackets and cable management
brackets but excluding cards and power supplies. When the switch is installed with all accessories (cards,
power supplies, and transceiver modules), its maximum weight is 200 kg (440.92 lb). Make sure the
slide rails can fully support this weight. HP recommends that you order the HP X421 A-Series Chassis
Universal 4-Post Rack Mounting Kit (JC665A), which supports a weight up to 300 kg (661.38 lb).
