Locate the battery on the I/O board as shown in Figure G-1. 

7. 

Pull the battery out of the battery socket (1). 

8. 

Reverse steps 1 through 4 to replace the battery (2). 

 

 

CAUTION:

  Replace the lithium battery within 15 minutes of removal to avoid the 

loss of BIOS settings. If BIOS settings are lost, a reconfiguration is necessary to 
restore them.
