NOTE:

  ASR-2 can be enabled to restart your server and automatically load the operating 

system. If a critical error occurs, ASR-2 logs the error in the Integrated Management Log (IML) 
and restarts the server. The system ROM then pages the designated administrator and 
executes the normal restart process.

Restart the server.

Check the Integrated Management Display (IMD) for the following normal 
power-up sequence to verify that your system meets the minimal hardware 
requirements and is powered up under normal operation: 

a. 

The front panel system power LED turns from Standby (blinking green) to 
On (solid green). 

b. 

The fans start up. 

c. 

The IMD displays messages regarding the server name and LCD firmware 
version. 

d. 

The IMD displays messages in the following sequence regarding server 
initialization: 

— System initialization 

— PCI auto-configuration 

—  Video initialization. If a monitor is connected, it also displays the HP 

initialization screen. 

— Processor initialization 

— Memory test 

— Memory initialization 

— Diskette drive 

— Option ROM 

— SCSI devices 

8. 

The operating system loads to complete the boot process.
