Loading a code tape
The SCSI bridge electronics firmware can be upgraded by using a Code Load Tape. You are
prompted to insert the tape. Do not disturb the unit's power until the end of the procedure. The SCSI
bridge electronics relocate some internal firmware, switch to the Performance Display format, read
64Kb, and verifies the tape, rewinds the tape, rereads the 64Kb, programs the firmware and, unloads
the tape when complete. You are not be returned to the menu system because this utility alters the
RAM/ROM in a non recoverable manner. A cold reset executes.
Note
: For this procedure, it is recommended that you take the tape drive off-line and disconnect
the SCSI cable from the rear connector of the tape drive.
