If the plant water pressure is too low (can be checked on manometer), contact your service engi-
neer or top up the water.
Topping up the heating system with water
For filling and topping up the heating plant you can normally use normal tap water.
In certain cases very extreme water conditions (very corrosive or very hard wa-
ter) mean that tap water is not suitable for the plant. If this applies to your locality,
please consult a suitably qualified specialist firm.
Procedure
• Turn main switch to "O".
• The shut-off valves in the heating flow and return flow pipes must be open.
• The boiler filling and drain valve is accessible when the front panel is removed.
• The connection between the filling valve and the water tap is made via a hose:
- Before making the connection, fill hose with water so that no air enters the
heating system.
- After filling, unscrew hose so that the connection is definitely interrupted.
• Let water flow in slowly while keeping a check on the water level via the hydrometer
or manometer.
• After filling, open the air vent briefly until all the air has escaped from the radia-
tor.
