5. System start-up
Commissioning of a newly installed system may only be carried out by a qua-
lified installer. A full installation check must be completed prior to start-up.
- Set the main SYSTEM switch to “0”
- Open the shut-off valves in the flow and return lines.
- Open the shut-off valve in the gas pipe to boiler
- Switch on main switch outside boiler room (if present). In many cases the
heating plant has an additional emergency switch which only switches off
the gas burner.
5.1 Checks prior to start-up
Check the water level in the heating system.
The heating system must be filled with water and all the air removed.
Observe the regulations regarding antifreeze and water treatment.
Open the shut-off valves in the flow and return lines.
Check the fresh air supply to the heating system.
Check the settings for the operating modes.
5.2 Switching on the system
Open gas valve.
Switch on the main switch.
Set the boiler control unit to the desired operating mode and temperature.

Depending on the working principle of the heating system selected, there may be extra components or
some may not be provided. Have your system explained in detail by the specialist.
The hot water heated by the heating boiler is conveyed to the radiators, or is used to heat the domestic
hot water.
