Folding
Perform folding operations only after the ma-
chine has been raised!
When operating hydraulic components, slow
down the control unit before the machine com-
ponents reach the stop position.
When travelling on public roads secure
the control unit so that no undesired
hydraulic movement can happen
Parking the machine
The Terrano FM may be parked on firm ground
in the folded position. For this purpose it must
be lowered as low as possible onto the spacers
on the chassis cylinder spacers.
To avoid tyre damage during long periods of
idleness, the machine may also be unfolded and
parked on the packer
Unhitching
¾
Park the machine on a firm and level surface.
¾
Place the parking support under the machine.
¾
Switch off the traction intensifier.
¾
Insert the parking brake (Option) and secure
against rolling away
¾
Disconnect brake lines (optional).
¾
Disconnect the lighting equipment plug.
¾
Ball head and swinging drawbar hitching;
close the shut-off valve on the hydraulic cou -
pling ad disconnect the coupling.
¾
Unhitch the machine.
Depth setting
Depth setting is carried out in the field by means
of the packer and the front support wheels.
Depending on model, the setting may be done
either mechanically or hydraulically.
Initial commissioning/tractor change
During the first operation or when changing trac -
tors, the machine must be placed on the level.
¾
Hitch the machine to the tractor.
¾
Raise the machine on a flat surface.
¾
Measure the clearance of the upper frame
edge to the ground at the front and at the
the rear.
If not identical then adjust the setting with the
central support rod. If, for example, the distance
at the front is less than that at the rear, then the
rod must be lengthened.
¾
Lower the machine and relieve the rod.
¾
Remove the bolt and screw out the ball joint

tighten the bolt
Screw adjustment
Raise the machine, check the setting and if
necessary re-set.
