Filling
1. Switch on the hydraulic drive on the tractor.
2. Run the tractor engine with raised rotational
speed.
3. Switch on the hydraulic motor by the three-
way valve.
4. Fill the hopper with seed or fertiliser. Watch
out for foreign objects!
5. After the end of filling allow the auger to run
slightly longer and shut down the hydraulic
drive by the three-way valve.
6. Switch off the hydraulic drive on the tractor
and shut down the engine.
Folding
1. Mount the covering above the filling funnel.
2. Place a suitable container under the wing
section to take up residues from the auger
tube.
3. Unlock the auger tube and fold it up.
4. Move the handle screw out of its receptacle
and hook it into the bracket on the tube.
5. Tighten the tommy screw hand-tight and
secure it with the cotter pin.
6. Mount the covering to the swivelling tube.
7. Close and lock the lid on the connecting
flange.
NOTE
¾
Check lock and securing element of the swiv-
elling auger part before transport travel.
Care and maintenance
¾
Thoroughly clean the auger, especially after
using it with dressing or fertiliser.
These agents are aggressive and promote
corrosion.
The covering on the bottom end of the pipe
can be removed for cleaning.
¾
Clean the filling auger every day from resi -
dues, water and dust.
¾
Lubricate the bottom auger bearing every
week when in use.
