System Mode
The mode function of the PTS Programmer is used to change between signal operation modes. This menu can also be
accessed by simply pressing “E” from the home screen, or using the Controller’s Rotary Switch. Once inside this menu,
the user can scroll through the various operational modes by using the Up and Down Arrow buttons and pressing “E”
to select and enter that mode. When a mode is selected, it will not change until the next programmed red clearance
interval has expired.

Automatic
Runs the currently loaded program

Manual
Signals are operated manually via the PTS Programmer. User cannot override red clearance
times (unless Red Manual is “Enabled” in the “System Options”).

Flash
Signals will operate in the Flash mode selected in the “System Options” menu (Red, Flash Red,
Flash Yellow, or Lamps Off). “Special” programs allow for override of this setting with
in the program.

Lamps Off
Signal indications will go dark and no longer be displayed. Program is not deleted.

Red
All signals will go to a solid red indication and remain in this state until the mode is
changed.

Flash Red
All signals will go to a flashing red indication and remain in this state until the mode is
changed.

Flash Yellow
All signals will go to a flashing yellow indication and remain in this state until the mode is
changed.

Reset
Resets program clearing faults.

Stop
The current program is stopped and erased (if not previously saved program is gone forever).
Signals will go to Flash mode. A new program must be created or loaded from memory before
signals can operate in Automatic mode again.
