FRONT WHEEL/BRAKE/SUSPENSION/STEERING
Hold the steering stem and remove the steering stem
adjusting nut [1] with the special tool.
Remove the upper dust seal [3].
Remove the upper bearing inner race [1] and upper
bearing [2].
Remove the steering stem [1] from the steering head
pipe.
Remove the lower bearing [2].
Check the steering bearings, inner and outer races for
wear or damage.
STEERING BEARING RACE
REPLACEMENT
Always replace the
bearings and races
in pairs.
Remove the upper bearing outer race [1] and lower
bearing outer race [2] with the following tools.
TOOL:
