When the system detects that the
vehicle is about to veer away from
either line, the system applies torque
to the steering and assists the driver’s
steering operation to keep between
the lines. The system does not work
if the driver takes their hands off the
steering wheel or neglects steering
operation. The LKAS is not a substitute for
