b. Reassembly
NOTE:
Clean all disassembled part thoroughly before reassembly.
Wear heavy gloves to protect your hands.
1. Insert the hook [3] on the outer side of the return spring [2] into the groove inside the
reel. Carefully wind the return spring and position it inside the reel [4].
2. Install the return spring [1] base cover on the starter reel.
3. Tie a knot in one end of the starter rope and feed the other end through the hole in the
reel. Wind the rope around the starter reel approx. 6 turns.
4. Apply grease to the starter case tab. Install the starter reel to the starter case, hooking
the inner hook of the return spring onto the tab on the starter case [7].
5. With length of rope extending from starter reel notch, rotate the reel counterclockwise
2 full turns.
6. Hold the reel and pull the end of the rope through the hole in the starter case. Insert the
rope into the grip and tie a knot as shown.
