Clamp a workpiece in the lathe chuck , lathe or turning the clamping jaws of the chuck com-
pletely together before turning on the lathe.

Retraction prior initial
The retraction should be performed with the lowest screw speed. Let the machine at this speed
for about 1 hours walk . Check out irregularities , such as unusual noises , imbalances , etc. If
everything is in order, gradually increase the speed .
